Happy Birthday!!!!

Cole Douglas joined our family yesterday morning at 11:22.
Ready to head to the hospital. I got there at 6:30 to get induced and ended up not having anything actually started till around 9:30. Everything went VERY fast after that. Thankfully I got my epidural right away and had no pain:)

He was a little challenging to push out and my Dr. said he was probably big. I didn't really think much about it and when he was born, Dr. Davis said you've got and 8.5-9# baby. I didn't think there was any way that was possible...

Evidently he's a good guesser, as he was 9# even!!!! I was shocked. I thought I was huge, but didn't think I was that big (if you did think I was that big just keep it to yourself:):):)

Yesterday was also Brent and my birthday!! It was a fun birthday!! I hope he thought so too:)

Madison was so excited to come to the hospital to see him. She did very good holding him, but it only lasted about 30 seconds till she was done:)

Reid wasn't too sure what to think. He poked a little and then totally ignored him. We'll see what happens when we get home.

FUN TIMES!!!!

I have an AMAZING husband!!! We've been wanting a swing set since we moved here, but never got around to making it. Well, Blare got all of the materials and just finished last week. We hung the swings yesterday morning and Madison spent all day swinging yesterday!! To say that she LOVED it is a HUGE understatement!! I feel so blessed to have such a talented husband!! Great job Blare...I know this will get years of use!! I love you!!

SOLD!!!!!!

Well last night ended the LONG 2 year journey of trying to sell our house!!! We are so thankful to finally have it sold. We closed last night and no longer have responsibilities at 3286 E SR 124!!! YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!! We hope that Justin and Kelsey will have as many good memories there as we did.

And just a little extra video....

We've been working on the Fruit of the Spirit with Madison and she's got it down pretty good. We've tried several times to catch it on video, but she CAN NOT stand still!! This is our best shot. (excuse the walls in the background, they were supposed to get fixed 3 weeks ago, but the guy fixing them hasn't showed up yet!?!? hopefully this week!)

3 years old

I know, I'm always so behind, but I didn't want to miss Madison's 3rd birthday!! She turned 3 on Monday and we had her party on Sunday night. She had a great time and was very spoiled. I'm so thankful for our family!! I forgot to take the camera, but on Monday night we took her to the Decatur McDonald's with Madalynn and Haliegh and I think they giggled they whole time. Thanks for coming with us Maddy and Haliegh!!

I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she instantly replied "Ariel." I told her I didn't think that I could make an Ariel cake and she said, "well daddy can!!!" (She thinks he can do anything:) So we settled on purple (her FAVORITE color right now) with polka dots.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!! We love you a ton!!

Home Sweet Home

We just got home from a wonderful snow skiing vacation with my family. We were in Telluride, Colorado for 6 days. When we planned this trip I was almost positive that I WOULD NOT be pregnant this time...but obviously that didn't happen:-) (the last two times we went snow skiing with my family I was pregnant.) Even though the Dr. said I shouldn't ski I decided that I would and just be very careful. (when we were in Jackson Hole 3 yrs ago I was 7.5 months along and didn't ski and missed all the Beautiful scenery!!) Thankfully no one got hurt and we had a great time!!The breathtaking view from the top of the mountain!!

My family
Blare and Travis were the most adventursome and went to the VERY top and had to go down some UNBELIEVABLY steep slopes to get down. If you've ever been to CO skiing...you know that it is NOTHING like Michigan's slopes. The lifts take anywhere from 7-10 min to get from the bottom to the top. And then to get down usually 20 min. (unless you're me...I usually took at least half hour...I'm VERY slow:) The longest run we took was 4.6 miles long. We were exhausted by the time we got down. Thankfully our condo was on one of the slopes and we could take a break whenever we needed one!!
We didn't rent a vehicle while we were there. We hired a van to take us from the airport to the resort and then once there we didn't leave. There was a gondola that we took from our resort into Telluride. It only took about 20 min. Mom and I didn't ski one day and we just spent a little time in town...the view from downtown was amazing!!!

Farm Girl

Madison LOVES playing with Grandpa and she was having a great time the other night when she got to "help" grandpa unload some corn.
